Background

Markus Ruhle enlisted with the UEE Navy on 01 January 2931, quickly transferring to the Marines after demonstrating exceptional aptitude during basic training. He completed Sniper School with top marks in marksmanship, beginning a distinguished 20-year career deployed across UEE space and beyond.

Ruhle earned his callsign "Gallows" during a civilian extraction in the Cathcart system — providing long-range overwatch, he single-handedly eliminated an entire 25-man hostile detachment to protect evacuating civilians. The precision and lethality became legendary among Marine sniper circles, though Ruhle himself rarely speaks of it.

Post-discharge, Ruhle founded Nightwolf Company — a full-spectrum private military contractor operating across Stanton, Nyx, Pyro, and Odin. NWCO takes the contracts others won't touch and handles them to a standard most can't meet: escort, infiltration, bounty, intelligence. The company operates under a strict code of conduct — contracts are selective, clients are vetted, and the line Ruhle has drawn does not move regardless of what's on the table. He carries the weight of things seen and done with characteristic silence.
